Interested in the principles shaping connectome architecture?
Check out our latest in @CellCellPress led by @_francisnormand w/ @jchrispang, @TrangCao2016,

We derive a simple model using geometric eigenmodes that can capture cortical connectome topology and topography of mouse, marmoset, macaque, chimp, and human connectomes, as mapped using diffusion MRI and tract-tracing.

What can a neuron compute?
Real biological neurons are complex, but how capable are they?
Using a new method, we found that a single cortical neuron can classify cats vs dogs, recognize spoken words, and solve 10-bit parity, all tasks thought to require entire networks. (1/15)
@adcock_brett Cool video, but a single specialized arm would have suffice for that task no?
Would be impressive to see the same robot shift task elegantly, which is the point of the humanoid form.
@JFPuget L’analogie a tout à fait du sens, mais ce n’est pas tellement le sujet ici.
Le sujet c’est d’exporter ou non une technologique à un « concurrent géopolitique ».
Et malgré les bafouillages, on a très bien compris sa position.
Cool to see that Tesla Full Self Driving has adopted the @LLVMFoundation MLIR stack, and is seeing 20% faster reaction time as a result. It is quite likely that a modern compiler and runtime implementation the break-through that robotaxi and FSD have been waiting for!
This release introduces a new MLIR-based AI compiler and runtime, built from the ground up with sweat and tears.
So proud to have helped start this journey, and excited to see it come to life!
Congrats to the @Tesla_AI team!
