@Jessicawhippl17@nurtureliterary I like how descriptive this is - I feel like I’m there. And I can feel the sense of lost control - aging happens and hope suffers as youthfulness slips away. But hope still is within reach, if only just. Is this close to what you’re expressing?
There is a phenomenon called visual withdrawal. Check out autism resources. Although withdrawal is often negative, providing a safe and planned for time of withdrawal can be a good thing. There’s also a lot about mindfulness techniques that might give you the word you’re looking for….
@judahmahay Congratulations! I’m just getting started on X, although over the last 20 years or so I’ve written lots of stories for use in schools to promote problem solving in learners of all ages. I want to develop a science fantasy now, and your post gives me hope!
@GregoryELucas Thank you! This blog is both useful and interesting. And, on a separate note, your twitter banner is impressive, one of the best I’ve seen! I suppose I should say “X banner.”
@cyndeemelzow I’m fairly new to this and I have a foot in both worlds! Just want to meet other writers…currently working on a sci-fan for middle grade kids…
@Jennyr_Dalton Hi Jenny - I’m writing a sci-fan for MG. I’ve written other things, mostly teacher prep, and lots of short stories for curriculum in K-12 and higher Ed. My dissertation was a curriculum project at middle school called “The Case of the Disappearing School”
@Stephen_Ronson I’m following you…I’m just getting going and I’m not quitting because I’m not here for politics. I want to know book people and I want to write. That’s it.
Coming Soon! https://t.co/l7HHpqmrU5 This is a website for promoting the concept of the #pblmindset and sharing ideas and resources for teachers, school administrators and business leaders!
