@anshelsag@rebmasel Anecdotally this also presents itself on some of the Facebook groups I admin: in the form of the people who are capable of blocking accounts they don't want to interact with, and the people who yell at admins for not doing that for them by banning from the group. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@rebmasel We grew up with the internet, we had to learn how to cut through the bullshit because there were no algorithms to guide us and we've seen how things have evolved. The younger generation have only lived in the algorithmic age where choices are made for them.
Crazy how Millennials were the only ones to learn how to use computers and we apparently are also the only ones who learned to see through disinformation on those same exact computers.
Literally everyone else younger & older than us is like a native population with a new disease
Regardless of who’s in the White House, we get to decide most of what happens in our day to day lives at the state and local level.
Grateful to live in a state like Minnesota today. Lovely day to bike to work in Minneapolis.

@HoernerMVP I seriously wonder whether it comes down to having skills/willingness to read & digest a lot of information vs. just voting on vibes.
Because one thing education does is make you really good at reading/processing a lot of information. See: democrat obsession with policy details
I cannot fathom the feeling of the women who came forward about their sexual assault at the hands of Trump. Seeing millions of people vote for their abuser.
My heart absolutely breaks for these women. I believe you, and I am so sorry.

Write one essay a week with this theme:
Those who have power will do everything in their power to stay in power
Covering Revolutionary war to Iraq war & all elections
Wish all students got that
😕
Although, certainly it holds true for many individuals who do manage to hold on to power. When faced with substantive decisions, they will do whatever maintains whatever power they think they have. (It was easy to write those weekly essays.)
I think it's largely a human thing.
