Josh Stein just showed us exactly who he is — a petty, power-hungry Democrat who’ll play games with real people’s lives just to protect his radical agenda.

Yesterday, retired NC State Highway Patrol Trooper Dan Kiger showed up in Raleigh with his family, ready to be sworn in and get to work for District 90. Kiger’s no rookie: deep roots in Surry County, former GOP chair, won the primary — a solid law-and-order conservative ready to fight for foothills families, farms, and our God-given rights.

But Stein’s office decided to throw a tantrum and hold up the paperwork. Why? To strong-arm House Republicans into backing off overrides on his vetoes. You know, the common-sense bills on Freedom to Carry (permitless concealed carry), rolling back DEI indoctrination in our schools, cracking down on illegal immigration, and protecting our communities from soft-on-crime nonsense.

Bless his heart, Stein thought he could treat a qualified trooper like a bargaining chip while the foothills wait for representation. This is the same crew that wants to keep our kids exposed to woke garbage, release criminals early, and tie the hands of good guys with guns.
Well, guess what? Session ended and Stein folded faster than a cheap suit. Within minutes, he signed off. Dan Kiger is officially seated! 🙌

The foothills got its fighter anyway. But this little stunt? It’s a perfect reminder why we can’t trust Raleigh Democrats with even an ounce of power. Override EVERY SINGLE ONE of those vetoes — Freedom to Carry, school choice, immigration enforcement, all of it. Let’s actually govern for the people of North Carolina instead of playing these childish games.
