I believe that people's actions can make it clear that they have no respect or regard for you, regardless of what they say. Their actions clearly indicate that they don't value you. When you notice this, take it for what it is. Remember, actions speak louder than words.
Being single taught me that I’m not hard to love. I’m just no longer willing to accept inconsistency, bare minimum effort, or connections that leave me anxious. I’d rather be alone than feel alone with someone.
I don’t mind showing somebody I care, but I pay attention to whether I’m the only one doing it. If I stop texting first and we stop talking, or stop making plans and we never see each other, that tells me how much of the connection was really coming from me. I’m not carrying something by myself just because I want it to work. If it only moves when I move, I’m cool on it.
Full transparency... I don't think l've ever experienced someone being deeply in love with me. I've been liked. I've been wanted. But I still dream about the kind of love where someone chooses me wholeheartedly every single day.
