@Mandoline79 I was in a car accident in January 2017. I hurt my left shoulder. It went to a frozen shoulder. I did 4 years of exercises trying to heal it. Last year, in January, I finally had surgery on it. It was never a frozen shoulder. ๐คฃ๐คช I can use it now.
@ThrillaRilla369 It will be 30 next year. We are taking a cruise as an early anniversary present. We leave at the end of September and come back three weeks or so later.
BREAKINGNEWS Governor of Kentucky Andy Beshear believes the Kentucky Constitution gives him full authority to appoint US Senator to replace Mitch McConnell and he's willing to test that theory. ๐จ
@Michaeljos92972 I had a mastectomy about 5 months ago. I have a BRCA2 variant. They had a good run, never fed a child, and got in the way a lot. I thanked them for their service and said "adios". I hope your cancer has not returned. Hugs.
Health is like oxygen. You don't notice it until it's gone.
That's why healthy people can't fully understand chronic illness โ Not necessarily from a lack of empathy, but from a lack of a reference point.
They lack context.
Photo 1 (widely shared 2023 version): Mitch McConnell and Elaine Chao in a recovery/rehab setting. McConnell wears the red gingham shirt, smiles broadly while holding printed material, seated in the blue chair with white linens behind
Photo 2 (the version associated with the July 12, 2026 update): Appears identical to Photo 1 in every visible detail โ same clothing, exact same pose and expressions, same background, same blue chair, same item in McConnellโs hand, same lighting and composition.
Side-by-side observation: These are the same photograph (originally from April 2023). No meaningful differences exist in subject positioning, clothing, facial expressions, background elements, or any other visual detail. Minor variations in cropping, resolution, or on-screen overlays (e.g., news logos or borders in different articles) may appear depending on the source, but the core image content is unchanged.
This confirms the image being referenced in recent discussions is the older one being recirculated. If you have different specific versions/URLs in mind, share them for further comparison!
Someone has some splaining to do!
Every single day during the presidency of Joe Biden, the Strait of Hormuz was open. No Senators were ever accused of being shameless sycophants for Biden. Biden never pushed to have monuments named after himself. And Biden never confused one of his ex-wives with a woman he raped.
I was at a friend's engagement party when one of the guys jokingly asked the bride,
"So... what's the first thing you're going to make him give up after the wedding?"
Everyone laughed.
She didn't.
Instead she looked at her fiancรฉ and asked,
"What have I asked you to give up?"
He thought for a second.
Then said,
"Nothing."
She smiled.
"Exactly."
Then she turned back to the table and said,
"It's funny."
"Every time a woman gets married, people ask what she's going to take away from a man."
"Nobody asks what she's already been giving."
Someone asked what she meant.
She shrugged.
"I remember his parents' birthdays."
"I book our vacations."
"I schedule his doctor's appointments."
"I buy gifts for his family."
"I know his coffee order."
"I know how he likes his shirts folded."
Then she laughed and said,
"The only thing I've ever asked him to give up..."
"...is pretending those things happen by themselves."
The table got quiet.
I've noticed people love joking about what marriage costs men.
They rarely talk about what it quietly costs women before anyone notices.
@StevePhillipsMD I saw an ophthalmologist because I have ocular hypotension, severe dry eye, and ongoing corneal tears. It was suggested I might have Sjogren's. He told me to see my neurologist and use lots of eye drops. I don't have a neurologist. My meeting was one minute long.
