Have you ever wondered why posts from hate trolls and farm accounts never seem to disappear?
As a Computer Science graduate with an unused degree, I wanted to share a simple overview of how the algorithm manages engagement and reports.
My hope is that this insight will help the fandom better understand and deal with these toxic accounts. So HYG, after exploring X’s open-source algorithm (I used the most recent release) and doing some online research, I’ve put together a brief explanation and guide to shed light on what’s really going on, and what steps we can take.

just a reminder that being upset over a celebrity’s death is not parasocial in any way. these are real people that made real art that impacted you. you are allowed to mourn & grieve something special to you
Today we mourn Tim Curry—a singular talent, a true original, and the man who first brought Dr. Frank-N-Furter to life. He didn’t just play an icon; he created one. Thank you, Tim, for the brilliance, courage, inspiration, and everything that followed. You will never be forgotten.
Tim Curry, who played the eccentric, cross-dressing mad scientist Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the cult classic film ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show,’ has died. He was 80 years old.
Curry originated the iconic role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the original production staged at London’s Royal Court Theatre. He stayed with the role as it transferred to Broadway and then was ultimately adapted into a feature film also starring Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick. That film would become a cult sensation, sparking countless call-and-response heavy midnight showings thanks to its raucous numbers like “Time Warp,” “Touch-a-Touch-a-Touch-a-Touch Me” and “Sweet Transvestite,” indelibly performed by Curry.
Beyond his extensive film roles, Curry had an extensive stage career, earning three Tony nominations for originating the role of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in 1981’s ‘Amadeus,’ playing Alan Swann in the musical ‘My Favorite Year,’ and for starring as King Arthur in the smash hit musical ‘Monty Python’s Spamalot.’

The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share. Our most sacred moments were private and they’ll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour & between our hearts.
What I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong. I have an angel by my side. I always have. One of our last conversations was about music and metamorphosis. 🦋
I will always love her and want to make her proud. My heart breaks for the world, her family and friends who will miss her deeply. We’re in this loss together and we will see her in all of the most beautiful things. 💖 @dollyparton
