Dear @WhiteHouse, my name is Rodney Smith Jr., founder of Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service in Huntsville, Alabama. Through our 50 Yard Challenge, over 6,000 kids across the country have signed up to mow free lawns for the elderly, disabled, veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and single parents. With America celebrating its 250th birthday this year and me also being born on July 4th, I wanted to humbly ask if a few kids from our program and myself could travel to Washington, D.C. to help mow the White House lawn for this historic celebration.
More than anything, I want these kids to see how a simple act of service something as ordinary as mowing a lawn for someone in need can lead to extraordinary places. What better lesson in community service than showing them that helping others can take them all the way to our nation’s capital? I’d also love to bring my American flag-themed mower in hopes that the President might sign it, so I can later auction it off and donate 100% of the proceeds to a nonprofit supporting veterans. It would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to highlight the importance of service, patriotism, and the impact young people can have when they choose to make a difference. 🇺🇸
You fucking ghouls out here layering hate onto tragedy for your own disgusting political purposes.
The shooter's gender identity doesn't fucking matter. It only matters to sick fucks trying to exploit a mass tragedy to drive an agenda of hate that will kill more kids.
Monsters, all of you.
"The consultant said she had checked when introducing Upton to the department, in August 2023, that the doctor was comfortable using the female facilities."
Why would she do that to a person she believed is a woman? Is this standard practice in the NHS?

@Penny_Holland I'm sorry to hear this. I know that I've been there, more than once. One thing a vet said to me - which I denied at the time, but now see is true - "very few people ever think they acted too soon". I wish you strength, grace, and peace as you go through this.
@PinkColl @KnittingWyrd I'm also madly crocheting, here-or at least I was until I ran out of yarn. I ordered more last week, but it's apparently being delivered by Santa's rejected reindeer because it is taking forever! I've actually contemplated ripping out another blanket to get the yarn I need! Help!
@wekatweets@FionneOrlander you're most welcome - most of the time when I come across something I can answer, it's already been posted 20+ times - it was a rare treat to spot an unanswered one!
@BeetleBMD Just a gentle hint - the website you linked is not for the Wordle (NYT) game. It's for a geography game in which you try to guess the country in 6 times. The Wordle word game (officially) is https://t.co/JacrB5jENC
