Ran out of time to completely finish before the end of the semester but an amazing storyboard created by an #NBE student of the final scene in @waub’s Moon of the Crusted Snow.
@waub Thank you for the great read! The class loved it. Another student wrote: “One story that stuck with me was the moon of the crusted snow book because it described Indigenous people perfectly and the characters felt almost familiar in a way because they felt like my family”
Fifty years is indeed worthy of celebration! Let’s celebrate together May 12-13, 2023 at Saunders. Lots of event and activities are being planned. Check out the website for more information.

Day 5 #TVDSBLiteracy challenge - looking forward to using the @StorykeepersPod with @waub in #NBE this semester. Specifically episode 1: Why Indigenous Literature Matters.
Missed day 4 yesterday but a text I recommend to students that connects to language, history, social issues, etc. is @Trevornoah’s Born A Crime. Great mix of serious topics, real stories, and comedy sprinkled throughout. @TVDSBLiteracy#TVDSBLiteracy
