It was a joy to engage with these students athletes over the past season. I'm happy to see them gain some well-earned recognition. As strong as they were on the field, they were equally strong off the field and away from games for this team.
Congratulations to the players who earned 2024 #MAVRC All Conference honors! 👏

Yesterday we were able to recognize our #Classof2024 rugby players. Our seniors and families were recognized in a pre-match ceremony. Then our #seniors led the way to an emotional come-from-behind victory! #cadetfamily#cadetrugby#SeniorDay
Projected top NFL draft pick, @UCLAFootball edge rusher, Laiatu Latu @laiatu_latu, talking about rugby making him a better athlete and player! (Check @ 1:10 in) "I would tell anyone growing up, play rugby"

@JJWatt@barstoolsports Three steps into the first hit. Clearly a flag. It was a flag yesterday for Mahomes, it's a flag today. The inconsistency is absolutely pathetic. We understand you think every hit on a QB is legal, but defending that no call is shallow.
@barstoolsports@NFL@NFLOfficiating the #NFL doesn't care about consistency in officiating, the officials clearly don't either. Mahomes takes a two hand tag yesterday, it is #Roughingthepasser?? Tonight, Stafford takes a double late hit, one to the head and nothing?!?
Proud of the steady work to improve, the perseverance in the face of adversity, the leadership displayed and the contributions these young men made to the St. John's program this season!
Congratulations to the SJC players selected to the 2023 #MAVRC All conference teams! 👏👏

Success requires discipline, and discipline requires self-denial. In order to succeed in the long term, you often need to deny yourself pleasure and comfort in the short term.
Giannis is outstanding: “There’s no failure in sports. There’s good days, bad days, some days you are able to be successful, some days you are not, some days it is your turn, some days it’s not. That’s what sports is about. You don’t always win.”
Proud to support the rugby team at my alma mater! And proud the school has supported the growth and funding of this team for the long haul!

@willcarling This is the position he choose for the "tackle" - he turned and stuck himself into the path of the runner. Watch the video, it is very clear.
@willcarling He didn't need to avoid the collision. He needed to accept the collision, like a soak tackle, he could have simply gotten run into. Instead he turned and stuck in a shoulder, hip and elbow. His decision, not a "reaction", not a play for the ball that resulted in a collision.
A little conversation about associations and tech👨💻, the beach 🏖, data interventions and other odds and ends. Enjoyed it!!!👍 Thanks @BenMuscolino@JakeTAssnPod@GSteenstra

Grassroots coaches are the real psychological geniuses. Not the pros. Not the ones who make the headlines or the ones who make the big bucks…
The grassroots coach is the greatest of psychologist…
My thoughts on these statements below 👇🏻
Practicing your sport more intelligently is often wiser than practicing your sport harder.
How?
-pick specific mini areas to improve (isolate!)
-self-reflect during practice on these areas (meta-cognition)
-gain coach feedback for these areas
-utilise imagery daily
-patience
