@j_a_corrigan@LadyLavinia@MissIngridS I agree! I'd like to also add that the chat function in general in Zoom for ex. allows for conversations to continue simultaneously as learners have their thoughts, and can add valuable input to the discussion by chat, even while a discussion by mic might be happening. #ETEC681
@MissIngridS A7:Fantastic experience!I enjoyed the interactive nature of the live chat, being able to engage in real time with peers and also being inspired in your thoughts by engaging in the discussion together.I also enjoy that we are sharing these insights with the Twitter-verse! #ETEC681
@MissIngridS A6: Interactive activities that invite continuous check-in questions and discussion on topics that can incorporate input from a diverse set of perspectives. Brainstorming activities. For ex: break out rooms also can help students feel less pressure in a Zoom environment. #ETEC681
@MissIngridS A5: I'd say for confrontational topics in online learning environments, context is key. The way content is situated and presented leading into discussion is important. Providing case/situational & relatable intro examples, inviting check in q's/discussion often is ideal. #ETEC681
@MissIngridS A4:I think having the option is beneficial to learners. With Zoom,we now have the option to participate by voice or chat(synchronously) or in advance or after class on moodle continuously (asynchronously), allowing for tailored engagement approaches suited to each learner!#ETEC681
@MissIngridS A3:I've used a mix and incorporation of LMS, social media platforms, etc, forming blended learning environments that supported me best as a learner. Providing options for students to participate and engage in various methods allows tailoring to different learning needs. #ETEC681
@lianagarbin9@MissIngridS I agree Liana!Good point on people having different levels of conform for participation.I think that break out rooms are a function that allow for such a space to better facilitate meaningful interaction between peers for successful learning throughout a learning program #ETEC681
@MissIngridS A2:I am enjoying this exercise as we incorporate elements of learning through social media! I have done this before for an undergraduate course, where we engaged weekly on twitter and engaged in online discussion, continuously learning from our peers. #ETEC681
@j_a_corrigan Thank you @j_a_corrigan! Great to be here, very excited to engage in this Twitter chat! I am joining from Montreal, Qc, and have been feeling productive today. #ETEC681
