Meeting with European Union, Prayer Please!
Shortly, I am meeting with European Union Officials from Brussels, we are to discuss about deepening crisis in Myanmar, the formation, plans of National Unity Government (NUG) of Myanmar and possible cooperation between NUG and EU
I have repeatedly called on the international community to work to help bring an end to the violence in Myanmar and the military repression.
I urge regional actors to leverage their influence to prevent further deterioration & find a peaceful way out of this catastrophe.
Youth in Mandalay welcomed the newly formed National Unity Government (NUG), an interim cabinet established by the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw- CRPH. Protesters wore masks featuring the face of Dr Sasa, NUG minister and former special envoy to the UN under the CRPH.
The UN in Myanmar is following events in Bago with reports of heavy artillery being used against civilians and medical treatment being denied to those injured.
The violence must cease immediately.
We call on the security forces to allow medical teams to treat the wounded.
