Really hoping everyone stops talking about and dwelling on the hand gestures . Who cares! All it’s doing is trying to make it a black/white thing and taking away from the very positive things this entire tournament did for women’s basketball.
 It was amazing to see so many people tune in and even be talking about the sport. That’s a far cry from any year I’ve ever seen and yet instead of talking about positive things today we’re over here worried about these hand gestures instead of trying to keep the narrative about the sport so this momentum continues..
Anyone that plays basketball knows that this is a regular part of the game, black white or polka dot and I don’t really care what commentators are saying like I said, let’s stick to the orange ball going into the hoop and how we seen so many phenomenal performances this weekend that will keep people tuning in .
Some people just like to spotlight the negative instead of being excited about where girls basketball is going. Even Jade said that yesterday she was so so happy to be able to see the success of this year’s tournament and she is excited for what that might mean for Rayna and women to come but when I wake up this morning every single post is about negativity and race and basically nothing positive. It’s so disheartening.
