It’s in the Courier… it’s got to be true! Absolute deserved selection if it is correct - true leader on & off the field + even better bloke. Huge achievement given horror run of injuries & snubbing from RA, but stayed the course & it’s paid the ultimate dividend. Congrats skip
Queensland’s Liam Wright is tipped to become Australia’s 89th Test rugby captain, beating out candidates Allan Alaalatoa and Reds teammates Fraser McReight and Tate McDermott. https://t.co/2tvviggnWt
Beautiful piece of storytelling that beautifully portrays the people of PNG, the passion they have for rugby league, & how the game is inspiring change for young boys & girls. Worth a watch

This week will be my last at Ballymore as I say goodbye to the QRU.
I’m thankful for the many friendships and opportunities made possible by the global game of rugby during the past five years, but it's time for the next chapter and challenge ahead which I’m excited for…
From centralisation and having the right people in the right roles, to the sustainability of five Australian clubs and why there needs to be a strategy into the long-term investment of grassroots rugby. Worth a listen for clarity and insight. Great chat @peterp79
CEO of Queensland Rugby Union joined Peter Psaltis to discuss their approach to the introduction of Rugby Australia's centralised system.

In the current rugby media landscape, it is important for Queensland Rugby to no longer be seen as a passenger, but a leader by clarifying its position publicly on centralisation to its members and fans to ensure sustained success of our game not only in QLD, but nationally...
You can’t paint all of Australian Rugby with the same brush...
The game is thriving in QLD - more than 30,000 people through the gates across 105 matches since the opening of the National Rugby Training Centre speaks volumes.
Ballymore is back… and this is just the beginning.
Two engaging days on the GC for the annual SRP MarComms Summit. While there's no denying it will be a tough sell and without getting into what systemically needs to change nationally, there's positivity amongst the clubs we have a strategy to drive success at a SR level in 2024.
I’m looking forward to joining the @QUT Future You Summit next Wednesday to share how my time at QUT shaped my career journey and hopefully inspire the next generation of future leaders. #futureyouQUT#QUTAlumni@QUTJAMS@qutnews_alumni
I couldn't help but look on (as that creepy guy in the background) & take in this emotive moment yesterday. After a rollercoaster two years of rugby with more downs than ups in the national program, I know how much this meant to @harry_wilson99 & I couldn't be more happy for him.
A great morning at @QUT hosting the annual Queensland Premier Rugby Grand Final Breakfast as we recognised the many achievements of 2023 ahead of a blockbuster weekend at Ballymore for a fitting season finale for all grades. #RugbyFamily
@Aaron_OBrien9@MarkGottlieb - $31.5 million high performance facility & grandstand recently opened
- Similar concept & construction earmarked for Eastern Stand
- Men’s/women’s Roar matches to be played there this season
- 12-15k capacity
- New home for women’s rectangular sport
The answer… Ballymore 🤷🏼♂️
While it wasn't the result we wanted in Dunedin last week, back at Ballymore in the new Murrayfield Room of the NRTC it proved a great afternoon chatting all things Wallabies & World Cups with some legends of the game, as we raised more than $11k for #HeartsinRugbyUnion
Ballymore’s long-awaited redevelopment realised today with the official opening of the NRTC – special to share in this memorable day as part of Queensland Rugby’s proud 140-year history.
One of my favourite events of the year hosting the Reds Awards Night. A special evening celebrating our achievements, as well as saying farewell to a good friend in Thorny - all with my rock by my side who again shared the many ups and downs of another Super Rugby season.
Saddened & shocked by Smithy's sudden passing.
Honoured to have shared a press box with him as both a journo & Comms Manager covering rugby.
He challenged my opinions & valued my knowledge. He was a strong advocate for QLD Rugby and I respected him greatly. Vale Smithy
