Eleven hours into that window the store manager laughed at me while she thought I was on hold because she felt I was being “unreasonable” when I just wanted to know when my fridge would be delivered. I’ll make sure everyone I know goes to @HomeDepot instead
@Lowes You really should think about teaching your store managers to not laugh at customers when they call and ask about their deliveries. I bought an appliance and got a text confirmation that it would be delivered during a twelve hour window. Turns out I was sadly mistaken…
@TenantTurner I’ve tried multiple times to go through your system to view a rental property and it fails every time. Not great for your customers if I can’t get through the initial screening and have no way to contact support to sort things out. Really drives customers away 🤷🏼♂️
I have had the worst customer service experience with @DoorDash. My food has been delivered to the wrong house three times even with explicit instructions that the GPS is wrong. Definitely going to switch to @UberEats and @Grubhub since DoorDash can't get their act together.
In this article you refer to "autistic Linux users". Im really hoping that's a typo and you meant to say "altruistic Linux users"

Step 1) Apply for a job
Step 2) Interview for said job
Step 3) Get turned down for said job
Step 4) Get newsletter about people who got hired for said job
…
Who decided that step #4 was really a good idea???
@dominos When will you update your system to reflect the fact that you actually deliver to my house? I'm totally anti-social and prefer to order online instead of calling.
In my opening remarks at #NDSS18 today, I took a few minutes to talk about the process we took as a Program Committee to build the program. My goal is to increase transparency and improve the academic reviewing experience. (long thread) 1/
Call your senators about the tax bill!! Unsure what to say? The @BostonCollege Graduate Union releases this awesome script for talking about removing the tuition waiver exemption: https://t.co/yPrOtt6PWW
If my graduate tuition waiver had been taxed I would not have been able to afford to get my degree. I would not have the job I have today and would not be doing any of the work I am now.
RT if the same is true for you.
@dao0x@patrickgtraynor@moyix@eredmil1 Good point. I wasn't expecting anyone to maintain code beyond the paper. Just want to make sure it is accessible beyond the tenure of a grad student at an institution.
@dao0x@patrickgtraynor@moyix@eredmil1 How then is this maintained after the student finishes and moves on? Does the institution library need to offer an archival service for artifacts that ensures that authors are not shamed after they leave and their site taken down? Maybe a new arXiV service to consider?
@patrickgtraynor@moyix@dao0x@eredmil1 Who ultimately goes back to verify this? What is an acceptable time window? If there is no penalty/incentive, it will become something that authors can use to hide their code until someone forgets, perpetuating the problem.
