This week in adventures in adulting, I opened up and cleaned all my in-wall electric heaters. Even though they’re only emergency backup for my heat pump systems. This is also a great time to check sump systems. #AlmostAutumn
In the market for a super comfy reading chair. A lounge all day in 12 different positions with a book series chair. Anyone got a favorite? Pointers on where to shop first? Still trying to avoid stores generally so don’t want to go sit in 300 chairs 🤣
@momo_ops For a reading chair it’s 100% about the comfy, aesthetics be damned. My dining chairs/table and accessories are probably 80% aesthetics 🤣
The space it’s in will have a couch and some other eating options where I’ll probably go more contemporary/tidy and more picky abt color
Most of the furniture wasn’t mine, so now I’m thinking about how I think I might want to use the spaces. Pandemic makes it hard to even think about hosting a big house party, but I used to love that. Do I decorate for today, or where I hope my life will be next year?
So I’m living alone for basically the first time in my life (not counting my dog & chickens.) Still working out cooking & shopping for one. I’ve never had to deal w bread and chips going stale 🤣
This has been a shared household for a decade. It’s super wild pouring thru the corners, reevaluating where everything goes and how it’s decorated. Do I really even want this spatula?
Over the last couple of years I’ve become a houseplant nerd. With this came a fungus gnat infestation. The path out that mess was “beneficial nematodes”, which is hilarious to say in a death metal growl voice.
Something has gone horribly wrong and my timeline is almost entirely ads and “someone you follow liked this.” This is not what I want. I can select “see LESS likes” from a specific person, but not “no likes” or do it at a global level. Ugh.
Overturning Roe and outlawing abortions will never make them go away.
It only makes them more dangerous, especially for the poor + marginalized.
People will die because of this decision. And we will never stop until abortion rights are restored in the United States of America.
@martinisoft I do it every couple of months. I also use a drill snake, just usually by disconnecting the hose and taking it outside first. I’ll get a ladder and look at my outside vent and see if that’s plausible.
How do you clean a dryer vent if you have your washer/dryer stacked? I'm looking at redoing my laundry zone, and stacked has appealed to me, but it's not exactly easy sliding around an unstacked dryer to clean the vent hose. Y'all clean your vent hoses, right?
I spent an hour today trying find a device designed to stop a chain link gate from opening further than 90 degrees. I’m pretty sure now the answer I’m looking for is “a rock.”
