Lady Of Clover runs at Yarmouth today attempting to back up her win last time.
She runs with a penalty after winning last week and she’s gone up 4lbs since her win to a mark of 53, so this is a last chance to race at this 0-50 level before she has to go back up in grade.
🤞🤞
@nickluck@LydiaHislop This highlights the lack of big screens at Epsom on Saturday.
We took this from the Grandstand enclosure where we couldn’t really see a screen.
Lots of people around us were disappointed and complaining as well.
@EpsomRacecourse really need to do better next year.
What a day cheering home @coolmorestud Christmas Day yesterday.
We have his dam’s half sister, Torshi, so her nephew is now a Derby winner! 👑 🏆 🥇
She has a @JuddmonteFarms Bated Breath colt yearling and is in foal to @Tweenhills King Of Change.
What a brilliant evening the lovely people we are lucky to know and have horses for have had! Lady of clover romps home for @Felloship_synd brilliant result well done all!
Lady Of Clover returns to Wolves this evening.
She has been slightly unlucky in her last couple of races but has showed steady improvement and we hope she can take a step forward today 🤞
The Derby fav recorded the longest av. stride length of the field in every furlong - peaking at an av. of 26.87ft in the 9th.
He also recorded the slowest stride freq in every furlong - as low as 2.00 strides per second in the 5th and peaking at 2.21 in the 10th.

@RCFarquhar@EpsomRacecourse This is a great piece by @RowleyfileRRR highlighting the optimal stride profile for a Derby horse from when Too Darn Hot was being considered.

Another exciting day on the breeding front, with Torshi scanned in foal to a colt by @Tweenhills King Of Change.

Lady Of Clover runs at Yarmouth today.
She got a bit unlucky in the stalls last time out and missed the break.
We are hoping she can bounce back onto the upward trajectory she was showing before 🤞
@GScottracing
It’s very exciting to have Torshi, a half-sister to Beauly, the dam of one of the current Derby favourites, Christmas Day.
Torshi’s yearling colt by @JuddmonteFarms Bated Breath will go to the sales later this year.
She is currently in foal to @Tweenhills King Of Change.

@TomWilsonHorses Re Publish: strides like a 10f horse, Dam late maturing & G1 placed over 10f & he seems a bigger scopier physical
Tying together indicates to me that he’ll probably be better over further
He’ll probably need a strongly run Guineas that tests stamina over late acceleration & speed
@TomWilsonHorses Thanks both, an intersting watch.
Did you use max stride frequency or average stride frequency on the x-axis of your chart?
Not sure what you think but I think most of the research done on predicting optimum race distance from stride data uses max frequency.
