A delegation of Takam Mising Porin Kébang (TMPK) and Mising Mimag Kébang submitted me a Memorandum today on demand for inclusion of @mac_assam into the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution. The matter is under examination by a Cabinet Sub Committee. @CMOfficeAssam

Assam Govt signed an MoU with Jawaharlal Nehru University today to establish Srimanta Sankardeve Chair in the School of Sanskrit & Indology for studying Vaishavism with specific reference to Assam. Thanks to HCM @himantabiswa and Prof S D Pundit, VC of @JNU_official_50 for the gracious presence. Assam will contribute Rs. 10 crore as corpus fund for the Chair.
