Like, the reason why the new category was created was so the latter group would be too busy fighting eachother for the pity trophy, to compete for the real awards. Because they don't want to admit that non-westerners can make good music too, that's why BTS did what they did.

I think there's a big difference between asian artists that perform in english, that debuted in the western market, signed by western labels and whose music is tied to american/western culture and asian artists that have or do none of that.
