@pierredevos What is immoral is you benefitting from the decay, corruption & failing state while you have the audacity to shout down RSA citizens from an ivory tower devoid of any reality. You thriving in the mist of 32 years of misrule is treasonous.
One of the main causes of decay, corruption, maladministration & failing state is the intelligentsia, are benefitting from the decline of the state. They are amoral , lack sense of justice. They are part & parcel of the heartless political elites. A just society inhibits them.
@pierredevos Albeit countless commissions, we TRY and hold our officials to account. As much as we are empowered by anger towards the state. They too should turn their anger against their corrupt officials. But demanding access to opportunities and resources in a foreign country is INHUMANE.
@pierredevos We hold our corrupt elites accountable. Why can’t others do the same instead of fleeing the mess their leaders created? South Africa cannot fix its own challenges while being expected to carry the burden of an entire continent’s failures.
@pierredevos My heart is for South Africans, for whom Apartheid caused deep inequalities & it is therefore doubly devastating that today, 32 years after, SAns are newly oppressed by illegal foreigners. The blame for this new oppression is squarely on the shoulders of the leaders & liberators
@pierredevos A very insightful read; however, charity begins at home. We have our own SAns struggling to gain access to basic resources paid for by OUR tax money. Illegal foreign nationals are criminals and are not OUR responsibility. We can't deteriorate as a nation because of 'humanity'.
@pierredevos The most cowardly thing is to squeeze South African petrol attendants & domestic workers out of their jobs and replace them with people who refused to stand up against misrule.
The saddest part for me about the implicated policemen in the #MadlangaCommission is that they are middle aged, mainly in their 50s having spent an average of 30 years in the @SAPoliceService . Many of them did well coming through the ranks, until corrupted by criminal mafia.
