@Pink We (North White High School) had the opportunity to interview Eva for our 1980's and garage band classes. So much love for her career and people she tours with. Can't wait to see you out on tour again. Retiring this year after many years in education. You're the best.
4 straight conference titles. Back-to-back sectional champions. @SNRebelVball is one of the better small school programs in Indiana. But not long ago, the Rebels were an afterthought. "We had won two games. It was not good." How SN changed its tradition. https://t.co/Tqki9M3Hun
Don’t be that player who is too cool to go hard. The way you do anything is the way you do everything. Whether in a workout or a game, 100% is minimum. Cool won’t impress, won’t get more playing time, won’t get you better. Cool will keep you on the bench. Cool will get you beat!
The chase for a D1 scholarship is sickening. My opinion (not fact) is it’s fueled by people/parents who are seeking validation. It makes the kids feel like they have failed in life if they aren’t the best player on the team, aren’t ranked or don’t go D1.
Old men yelling at 16 year old JV players like it’s their job has no place in our world right now in a gym with 600 people. Wait, it has no place in our world at all.
Sch’s Q: (1) will we administer spring state mandated tests to kids? (2) what kids have to participate?(3) how will we do this for kids on various platforms (remote/in-person)?, (4) what if opt-out is really high? & (5) will the tests count?
It’s the 45M dollar question.
Coaches: If a player doesn’t play hard all the time, no skill they bring to the table can offset that. Playing hard is a prerequisite to playing. Nobody succeeds making half an effort. Make sure your players understand that laziness is unacceptable. Competing to win IS a skill!
Parents: Your kids have to learn to dig deep, struggle & fight their way out of adversity. You can put them on every kind of competitive team, get them a trainer & extra practice, but if they can’t claw their way past the troubles that WILL come, they’ll never develop as athletes
@Coach_DeMarco Key emphasis offensively should be —-teaching them how to play—- not how to run plays! Read the defense— teach counters for how defense plays....
Players: To be a real leader, you have to lead everyone including your best friends. Calling others out & holding them accountable to & for the team isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. It leads to team achievement. Leaders have no problem bringing others on the journey to betterment.
Players: Playing time isn’t your decision. It’s out of your control. You can control doing what it takes to become a better player. If you want to play more, then do more. Attack threats. Practice more. Perfect your role. You’re the only person responsible for what you control.
