What happened in Rasht Bazaar was one of the worst massacres and crimes against humanity in modern history. Yet many people do not know about it. Why? Because the media has not covered it as it should.

The regime in Iran forced people into the bazaar, then set it on fire and barricaded one side. Anyone who tried to escape was shot, while others burned in the flames. Eyewitnesses say those who were shot were the lucky ones compared with those who burned alive. The regime then took some of the bodies and buried others in mass graves. Reports also indicate that some of those who survived and were taken to Sina Hospital were later shot there.
