What I find very strange is that this kind of matter should have a court hearing, but Dries only learnt about the suspension on Thursday after the first practice session.
I believe Motorsport UK has completely screwed up in the ruling to exclude British F4 championship leader Dries Van Langendonck from this weekend's races at Donington Park.
Van Langendonck did pick up 12 penalty points in the last 12 months - 3 for causing a collision with Tommy Harfield in Race 2 at Donington Park in 2025, 3 for causing a collision with Fionn McLaughlin in Race 2 at Silverstone in 2025, 3 for hindering August Raber in Race 3 at Silverstone in 2025 and 3 for causing a collision with Theo Palmer in Race 3 at Donington Park last April.
However, according to Article 2.4 of Appendix 9 of the British F4 sporting regulations an exclusion can only be handed out for accruing 12 penalty points within a championship season, not within the last 12 months. Not only that, but if Motorsport UK is of the opinion that Van Langendonck was already on 12 penalty points last April, why does the exclusion come into effect now in August? He didn't receive a single penalty during the most recent round at Thruxton either.

On comprend mieux la colère de Rodin.
Noir sur blanc dans le règlement, il est écrit : "12 penalty points during the championship season"... pas les 12 derniers mois.
Donc décision spéciale de Motorsport UK visiblement.
