@CeciliaPerezKSU Cecilia, it is awesome to expose young students to middle school vocabulary early on so they are prepare for it. It allows students to expand their vocabulary, reading, and writing. Good post!
@branch_teach Jordan, I agree. Students need to be exposed to the conceptual understanding way of reading texts. Once students understand this, they will find the "why" of their reading. Good job!
@ashbates23 Ashley, I agree with your point. Checking for student understanding is so important for a teacher because the students need to apply what they are learning and they can't do that if they don't have a deep understanding of the content. Good post!
@ashbates23 Ashley, I chose to highlight collaborative learning in my post, too. Students not only need to learn from their teacher but learn from their peers, as well! This way they can put to use what they are learning into conversations. Good job!
@LaurenM23035792 Lauren, this is a great point. It is important for teachers to set small goals for the students so that when they achieve those goals, they can feel motivated to achieve more. Those little victories in the classroom can really build the students confidence and self esteem.
