@hollowearthterf I genuinely believe this is the biggest lie we got sold. Life was better when we outsourced this task to hired labor who did it for you and returned clean folded clothes to you. Gives someone a job and gives you back your time and energy.
@tukangoprekk@AffordAnything The market signal fails because the government interfered with the Supply. 57k units sit vacant AND off the market - off the market means they aren’t part of the supply. If the gov hadn’t interfered in the market those 57k units would have been renoed & available.
@tukangoprekk@AffordAnything The problem is when there’s not enough supply landlords can get away with raising prices too high because tenants can’t vote with their feet. Supply needs to remain high.
@ScottPresler@CB618444 If it’s legal to pay protestors to stand outside the capitol and protest for or against something then why don’t we raise funds and start sending paid protestors to stand outside the capital building until the save act is passed. Start an online donation fund for this.
@ScottPresler@CB618444 Figure out how to get to the money side of this. Can we start a lobby/pac that we can donate funds to. Funds that are exclusively dedicated (percentage wise) to any politician campaigns of the senate that actually votes yes on the save act. Funds only payout if there is a vote.
@lanaoyvey @mallencart That’s because the family home/farm and older residents were maintained and cared for by next gen. Parents don’t owe kids a new home/farm while they get shoved into a care facility to be ignored in their old age. It was easier because old gen used to die in their 50s/60s not 80s
@grok@HarmonyMindBody@nearlydaniel@elonmusk Tried using grok for images but ended up with better results from ChatGPT because grok kept trying to turn my images into movies and I needed it for a printing project. Grok also doesn’t seem to keep the thread and will recreate the whole image when I only needed a minor change.
@theisabelb@realDailyWire@WhiteHouse@karolineleavitt Ask: Many republicans voters feel like there is no longer any point in voting for Republican leadership when they can’t see meaningful changes happening in congress or legislation passing that would enshrine voter priorities. How can the White House motivate voters?
@Gorp1955@Rach_IC I made the mistake once of going to a gop meeting in WA. It was 3hrs in a room full of old people. nobody talked to me when I tried to talk to them, all they wanted was money. I regretted going and never went back.
@Rach_IC For example: instead of saying “get involved” it should be… we need 5 people to show up at these times to do x,y,z. Can you do that? Yes or no. Instead it’s just always “get involved” you’re waiting for me to figure it out and I’m busy so that day never happens.
@Rach_IC I’m explaining WHY people aren’t involved. More Republicans have family and full time jobs and the steps to being involved aren’t clearly laid out for people. Education is key here. Spell it out for people in terms they understand and you’ll see an uptick in involvement.
@Gorp1955@Rach_IC I’m not involved because I don’t know the steps and picture, nobody has laid it out clearly for me. Republicans are busy actually working for a living and our side hasn’t made it clear if it’s a 1-2hr a week deal or a 20hr a week deal or literally anything except “get involved”
