A lot of people are saying that they heard this from their black friends and family, and that’s just as sad. Like Dr Umar said it only takes a little brainwashing to activate the “chip”. Correct them, we have to change the way we think of “whiteness” as well.
This is why saying “I have a black friend” doesn’t matter, because it is easy to care about us at an individual level, but that doesn’t mean you don’t believe in racist stereotypes in your mind. You can love me, but hate my people...
I grew up hearing “you are the whitest black kid I know” by my white “friends” and you get older and understand that they are equating all your traits with whiteness. The way you speak, the way you act, everything was “white” because of the stereotypes in their heads
Lacrosse : We accept all immature, disrespectful adults ... please come and start drama in our city. (I actually hate this place 😂 can’t wait to leave ✈️)
