The Iroquois Steeplechase has always been about more than one race day tradition. It is about creating an experience that brings Nashville together while supporting Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and preserving this historic course.

This year, we are excited to introduce The BIG 98 Stage in Centerfield, bringing live music and entertainment to race day from the first race through the final set.

We are grateful to iHeartMedia Nashville, 97.9 The BIG 98, and @tpglive for helping bring this new race day experience to life. Their partnership adds energy to Centerfield while supporting the tradition, hospitality, and community impact that make Iroquois Steeplechase such a meaningful Nashville event.

Course update from Clerk of the Course, Ted Thompson:

In response to the recent drought across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, we began irrigating the course on April 6. Current compaction readings are consistently in the good range, with a strong, healthy turf base. The grass will be maintained at approximately 5½ inches for race day.

Our goal is to present ground just on the kind side of Good, barring any unexpected weather shifts.
