The thing about having a mustache is that once you grow one and let it settle for a few months, when you shave you kind of always feel like you are missing something. Be careful out there.
This thesis can be true, while also recognizing the bad elements that sometimes hold this space back. In the long run I believe it will play out as this article speculates.
So many people on CT and in the digital art space operate with short-term bias or as high volume traders. It’s hard sometimes not to let that bleed into your own thinking. There will always be moves you could have made or trends you could chase.
I’m simply trying to accumulate what I consider high quality assets and see where everything stands in 2030 and beyond. Any investments I make here are with money I don’t need IRL. That basically means these assets are far too risky for me to sell right now. If it all goes to zero, that would be a huge bummer, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take.
I imagine there are plenty of others like me. It would be just be too painful to watch this stuff go where I think it’s heading after selling because of fear or because someone on X is suddenly sharing doubts. I don’t think that’s how anyone ever made a meaningful impact on their life.
I might be an idiot with this stuff, I’m an expert bag holder and didn’t really trade anything before 2020. I didn’t have any money to trade with until about then. But whatever. I’ll check back on this years from now. Let’s see how it ages.
Nobody really knows what these markets are going to do. Think for yourself. Things become much clearer for me when I focus on a longer time horizon, which is why I generally try to get in quality assets. However I have no idea what to do with my meme bags
@punk3178 I totally feel this. Aside from some art pieces here and there I never was a collector of any kind. Discovered in early 2021 and still love it.
But don't ever doubt this, my steadfast conviction
My love, you're the one I want to watch the ship go down with
The future can't be real, I barely know how long a moment is
Unless we're naked getting high on the mattress
While the global market crashes
As death fills the streets we're garden variety oblivious
You grab my hand and say
In I-told-you-so voice
"It's just how we expected."
