like i'm not trying to start drama, but some of the people making these comments are just as "ignorant" if not more than the black americans they're trying to critique. all while continuing to siphon off black american pop culture
you guys are not -that- progressive. please stop!
i'm not black american so correct me if i'm wrong, but I've noticed a strange uptick in contempt/mockery of black americans by non-black people of colour. and some people are passing it off as a critique of america or western-centrism when it's clearly just racism
like... why?
Even on the beaches, there are thousands of Black women who offer to braid your hair, no matter what your race is; this has never been criticized here as “cultural appropriation” or “stealing Afro culture.”
@kygbjh I know history. And i also know many of you love to cosplay identities that are not yours to evade accountability for your anti-blackness. gtfo of my page.
@Ari_sha00 You guys assume every black person who calls out your rabid racist bullshit is American or pushing American culture. I’m Guyanese, I’m familiar with the way non-blacks like you launder the poc/mixed label to excuse their anti-black racism. Gaslight someone else hoe.
@Ari_sha00 styles brought to u by enslaved africans whose descendants you still treat like shit! you’re a lame ass spaniard like your raggedy ancestors.
@mokacacao black people only exist in these regions because they were bought and sold there. We were chattle in the Caribbean that is why we exist in the Caribbean. That economic disparity still persists despite outliers. Outliers do not make the rule.
"this white woman" while talking about someone for a slavic country. she doesn't speak of racial representation but ethnic. americans really have no understanding of the world and its history outside their uneducated bubble.
Americans pissing me off once again, in the Caribbean every person of all kinds of colors wears braids not only because it is part of our culture but also because most of us have textured hair
This sexy ass ratio, Americans are so obsessed with culture and race it’s downright concerning why do yall so much about what someone is doing with their hair omg😭😭😭
