We illustrate the challenges and benefits of using self-reported or paradata-based lookup measures as well as a combined measure that aims at utilizing both to detect lookups. (4/4)

Based on @gip_study data, we show that a non-neglectable share of respondents looked up answers to pol. knowledge questions. We found that instructions to not look up answers reduced the number of lookups. (3/4)
