@TimesRadio I was made redundant 8 years ago. I'm 50 now. I've tried to retrain but I'm not eligible for apprenticeships, and can't even get a job as a labourer. I have a degree and 15 years experience in financial services
@omni_american@ChimamandaReal Agree with all but "broad settled tribes". The www and social media facilitate rapid formation of sub-tribes. Perhaps because we are social but we also want to be individuals. Ideological groups are also ideological divisions and so what brings us together also divides us.
@RalphBarnett10@BBCNews 50 people. 4 white males, 1 is Jerermy Hunt in an article about Jeremy Hunt, 1 is a "BBC expert", the other 2 stand in the background behind a female union member
@briannaterry99@OctopusEnergy I waited 7 days for an email saying they were now looking into why I hadn't had a bill since transferring to Economy 7 in July. I've heard nothing again for 9 days. This was following up on a contact centre call 3 weeks and 6 days ago. If you want decent support use Trustpilot
@Lisa2672@OctopusEnergy Citizen's Advice Bureau site says "Your supplier has to let you know about a payment increase before it happens - this is known as the 'direct debit guarantee'. If they donโt, you should complain to your supplier."

@BG_5you@DakDreaded I think it's pretty amazing what you've done with the model. You came at it from a place of respect. The art world is changing. Your content is art, just as much as the original work. Ignore the mob.
@elonmusk It's more like a radio. There's intelligence there if you know what frequency to tune it to, otherwise it's mostly white noise. I wouldn't trust twitter's emergent intelligence to make any meaningful decisions
@Gill_Nowell BBC can't compare a full charge with a full tank. Tanks and batteries are different sizes. I get 740 miles from a diesel Renault megane. Full EV charge is ave 200miles. EV is therefore 50% more expensive.
