Alongside 46 countries in Moldova this week we agreed ECHR reforms so we can take strong action on illegal migration and uphold international standards and law.
Events in the Strait of Hormuz remind us that we’re in a new era of geoeconomics, where economic security must be at the top of our foreign policy agenda.

At @AntalyaDF, I met with partners from across the region to push for an urgent diplomatic resolution to the Iran war with the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
We’re building a global coalition to support freedom of navigation with no tolls on the Strait.
My statement with France, Germany and Italy on our united opposition to Israel’s death penalty law.
The death penalty is wrong and we oppose it around the world.

"We know that threats to Ukraine’s security are threats to Europe’s security and threats to the UK’s security. That’s why we stand with Ukraine."
Foreign Secretary @YvetteCooperMP in Kyiv demanding an end to Russia's barbaric assault on Ukraine.
#StandWithUkraine
Today, Ukraine welcomed the first official visit of the UK Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, @YvetteCooperMP. I am grateful that her first trip was here to Ukraine – a truly powerful signal of support.
We had detailed discussions on urgent matters: next steps within the Coalition of the Willing and the development of security guarantees with a particular emphasis on a strong Ukrainian army; further defense support; the implementation of the agreement to produce in the UK interceptor drones designed in Ukraine; strengthening air defense; and long-range capabilities.
I thank the United Kingdom for today’s sanctions package against Russia. It is essential to keep building this pressure so that Russia’s war machine is ultimately brought to a halt. I am also grateful for the financial support for Ukraine – namely, the allocation of £142 million to prepare for the winter.
This is a critical moment for stability in the Middle East.
Prime Minister of Lebanon @Najib_Mikati and I spoke again about the need for all parties to urgently and immediately de-escalate.
There can be no more delays, the fighting must stop now.
An escalation of violence in the Middle East is in no-one's interest.
In Qatar and Lebanon, Foreign Secretary @DavidLammy and Defence Secretary @JohnHealey_MP call for all parties to agree an immediate ceasefire to bring the conflict in Gaza to an end

This is wretched, awful news. Kim was one of a kind: brave, dogged & ubiquitous. Always a joy to land somewhere & find Kim was already on the ground. What a loss.
UK Africa Minister @AndrewmitchMP tells the BBC there is "every danger" Ethiopia will be engulfed in famine unless the international community acts. Watch our exclusive report on the ground in Tigray where war & drought are fuelling the food crisis.

@masaccio60@millarpresident Totally agree. Brightens up December. Did miss the snow this year - last year load of pissed blokes as traffic cones slid down the road. This year they just kept holding up cars on the ped xing for selfies...
