People way less intelligent than you have built multi-million dollar companies with the comfort of working on their computers.
The ones that earn money online do one thing that most don't: continuously seeking business opportunities regardless of countless of rejections.
I do strength training at the gym 3-4x a week. Jogging in nature 2-3x a week.
Just added HIT sprints at the end of my jog. 20 seconds full send, 90 seconds walk, repeat 5-7 times. 13 minutes total.
The dopamine and adrenaline hit is insane. That's staying in the routine!
@KevinFengX I'd like to add that it's deeper than just doing the right things. You're not wrong, but it's more complex because many are addicted to self destructive habits. And they have to remove those patterns before having mental space to pursue purposeful actions. One step at a time.
A lot of people in today's society are suffering from anxiety and depression. I believe a big part of it is overstimulation: not being able to slow down time and find enjoyment in purposeful acts. For instance: having the attention span to finish reading a book over a week or two. Being able to have a meaningful conversation with a friend or family member for hours without the phone. Going for nature walks and so on..
A lot of it comes from technological over-stimulation
@the_mony_ The results may not show up right away, but do the right things and the good habits consistently and over-time you will forge a completely new mindset and lifestyle.
@drjamesdinic Energy, vitality and a feeling of general well-being is valuable beyond wealth. Financial success is great! But it doesn't mean much if you're suffering physically.
I don't miss journaling either, I make it a priority to do it first thing in the morning.
And it's enhanced my life on so many levels.
It's about falling in love with the process of writing with the pencil and page. And with that process you start to get to know yourself and attain clarity of mind.
@imamityadav_ Short term pleasure is a never ending loop: video games, alcohol, porn, drugs, scrolling.. So many people get trapped in it.
There's a better life to be had: that of purpose, and it's actually more enjoyable because you're building a meaningful life rather than wasting it.
@memoirofmen If you're using money to fill an inner void (i did for a while) then no amount will be enough: pleasures cost increasingly more..
What actually works: finding joy and gratitude in what you already have and not chasing more, more and more.
@JamsomSiger I had the same realization a while back. What changed was an identity shift toward doing something that aligned much more at who I am and what I want to do. I found my purpose so to say, and after that I've felt much more free, authentic and happy.
@ccoleasteroid Very well said.
I share a similar philosophy.
The more peaceful and healthy I am, the more peaceful and healthy the outer world becomes.
It truly is an energy projection.
@AimTrue7 Yeah, my coach @MoreLifeWizard usually says "when you point one finger, you're pointing 3 fingers back at yourself". Harshly judging others is usually a projection.
I believe that focusing on great rituals allows you to have a very peaceful life: even when there's chaos or struggles going on. You can feel peaceful even in painful moment in life, and a lot of it has to do with the daily choices we make. Meditation, writing, reading, nature walks are some great ways to attain this sense of inner peace.
