@justin_liew This is probably European - languages like German are gendered, and so gender is explicitly stated where the word for the role may be of a particular gender.
The "society with advanced technology but no knowledge of how it actually works" is a classic science fiction trope. We can get there with ML if we work hard enough.
I think one of the biggest risks to humanity posed by the new AI/ML future is stagnation. The machines are only as smart as the training data. The moment actual humans stop producing novel inputs the entire system becomes self referential.
@PaulDJohnston@QuinnyPig It's similar thinking to "Encrypt at Rest". We don't trust policies and contracts to be the final arbiter of data security. If you can't see the data, a lot of the risk is mitigated.
@PaulDJohnston@QuinnyPig Even when you have a contract you probably want to reduce risk by preventing any access to PII data. We work with banks and have home grown implementations in place — essentially hashing PII so it can be mapped without exposing customer details.
