There are a ridiculous number of private tutoring companies operating online that have no experience working with young people whatsoever. No DBS/safeguarding at all. They’re a quick buck for ex-students who want to profiteer off international students with mediocre tutoring!

So @BBCBreakfast find 90 private tutors in the UK have been convicted of sexual offences involving children over the past 20 years.

People offering private lessons do not have to be checked before working with young people

That has to change immediately
