England has the only privatised Water in Europe, the most water pollution, and the most expensive water.
The UK has the only fully privatised energy, and the most expensive.
England has privatised rail, the slowest, least reliable and of course the most expensive in Europe.
I asked @Keir_Starmer many months ago,if a general election was called tomorrow were they ready for Government. His answer was an emphatic YES...and I now see why. Depth of talented Ministers forming an impressive Cabinet....I am beginning to dare to feel hope.
This is a complex situation, but people's humanity should never be forgotten.
I hope Nada, Ladislav and their child now get the support and dignity that that every human being deserves.

Just to say that within minutes of Kate Kniveton having lost her seat, she messaged me to ask me to carry on her work on family courts. Not my party, but that my friends, is what a decent representative would do.
Must watch on abuse in politics, especially towards women
Jess Phillips explains the abuse she and her staff/volunteers have experienced during the general election and even after winning this morning
Alastair Campbell, "How do you encourage young women to enter politics with these types of attitudes?"
JP, "Nothing will change until we stand up.. Sisters will always be there to support you"
Harriet Harman, "It's important what you did tonight, you called it out.. Are we going to accept this as the norm? Or are we going to say this is not our politics and we protect our democracy?"
JP, "The way politicians are treated is awful"
“I understand that a strong woman standing up to you is met with such reticence,” replies Jess Phillips to a group of men intimidating after her win.
Jess then tells of how a young woman delivering leaflets yesterday was filmed and screamed at by an older man, who then slashed her tyres.
Huge respect to Jess.
This is the reality of what women in public service regularly face and will remain to face in our future unless we confront abusive men who feel they have a right to intimidate women. Bless that these men think they could shout Jess down ⬇️
Carl Dinnen, "Conservative claims that spending time with your family on a Friday evening would make you a part time Prime Minister?" @carldinnen
Keir Starmer, "This is just increasingly desperate stuff... I can hardly believe that 48 hours before an election the Conservative party have nothing positive to say"
"They are not saying if you vote Conservative on Thursday these things will happen.. They're just in this negative desperate loop"
"My family is important to me, as they will be for every single person watching this. I just think it's increasing desperation bordering on hysterical now"
24 hours out & all they have left is an arguably anti-semitic attack on his Friday night family time, toilets in pubs & not abolishing Tory inheritance tax. Love it or loathe it, Starmer's mission to starve the corrupt client media of ammunition has been an extraordinary success.
"14 years of corruption and lies and gaslighting... and everybody out there is thinking, 'no more of this'" says Carol Vorderman on #C4BritainDecides - as exit polls predict a Labour landslide victory.
Watch it NOW on @channel4 until 9am. #GeneralElection2024
Carol Vorderman, "We've had 14 years of corruption, lies, gas lighting.. Two ex disgraced Tory Chancellors in the studio.. Nadine Dorries who barely turned up for her last year as an MP"
"Everybody out there is thinking: no more of the lies, the deceit, the corruption, the VIP PPE scandal, the betting scandal.. Who would ever think a government would be as ridiculous as this one"
Krishnan Guru-Murthy, "But what do you really think Carol? What motivated you?"
CV, "The lies.. Partygate.. The VIP PPE media lane.. Today people taking photos at the polling station saying: this is for you dad, we could not see him during covid restrictions"
The Tories are running a fake fact check scam against the BBC debate.
See how they've renamed and rebranded their website to make it look like something it's not.
Spread the word. Don't let them get away with it.

Fiona Bruce, "Your former chief of naval staff says National Service is bonkers"
Rishi Sunak, "It wouldn't be to politicise the armed forces"
Fiona Bruce, "How will you make people do it?"
Rishi Sunak, "Sanctions and incentives"
Fiona Bruce, "Like what?"
Rishi Sunak, "Driving licenses, access to finance|
Fiona Bruce, "Access to finance? So people who don't want to do national service, you're going to take their bank cards away?"
Rishi Sunak, "There are lots of different models around Europe" #BBCQT
Petulant, patronising, passive aggression from Sunak, telling the audience (as he’s told the country) what he thinks they want, to fit his culture war.
An angry crowd shouts “shame” and continues after the credits roll.
Unbelievable.
He’s losing his seat.

This is so disgusting. Imagine the mindset that made this. People are dying. Afraid. Exploited and desperate. The Tories now chasing Reform to the very hard right and it’s sickening. Just when you think they couldn’t sink any lower …
Victoria Derbyshire, "Look at what you're doing to young people.. You're going to force them to do National Service.. You've tripled their tuition fees.. You froze the threshold at which they have to start paying back their student loan.. You've extended the student loan repayment terms from 30 to 40 years.. Meaning many graduates will be paying off their debts in their 60s.. You've invested only a third of what was recommended by the catch up tsar to help kids catch up after the pandemic.. Rents rose nearly 9% in the last year.. And houses at their most expensive since 1876.. Have the Tories got a problem with young people?"
Mark Harper, "No, not at all"
