In Fujisawa, residents have been protesting the construction of the city’s first mosque.

The planned building sits near a traditional Shinto shrine.
Reports say the mosque intends to broadcast the call to prayer five times a day.

The pattern is familiar.
First comes the request for tolerance and a place to pray.

Then comes the demand that the surrounding community adjust its daily life and soundscape to accommodate it.

Japan has long maintained quiet neighborhoods and a clear separation between private faith and public space.

Some newcomers appear to view that arrangement as temporary.

ヒジャブを着た外国人や東南アジア系、黒人外国人がめちゃくちゃ集まり、日本のお祭りには見えなくなってしまった模様💢

もうこれは乗っ取られてるのと同義では？？？

Japoneses vuelven a salir a la calle para protestar contra la construcción de la primera mezquita en Fujisawa.

La mezquita quiere poner rezos en altavoces 5 veces al día al lado de un templo sintónista.

Empiezan pidiendo tolerancia y terminan imponiendo su religión al resto.
