Well done, Arjun. ❤️
Proud of the way you’ve carried yourself through this season, always believing in your ability, staying patient, working hard quietly, and remaining positive despite having to wait for your opportunity till the very last match.
Cricket tests patience as much as skill, and you handled both beautifully today.
Keep your feet on the ground, and continue being in love with the game like you always have.
Love you always.👏
Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.
This serves as reminder of the "Geopolitical Tax" paid by the world’s most dynamic economies. While Western bloc (U.S., Canada, Euro) has successfully diversified its energy matrix, the "Asian Lions" - Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, India -remains tethered to a 21-mile-wide chokepoint
I agree with @SamitVartak.. in my obs over last few yrs, there was a time when any appeal made by the Prime Minister @narendramodi used to immediately translate into public action. People would voluntarily put it on their status.. circulate it across families and groups and genuinely feel emotionally invested in participating.
Today the same appeal often feels like it is landing on exhausted ears.
And the worrying part for the government should be this but the fatigue is visible even among many of its strongest supporters.
The issue is not communication but that of credibility erosion over time. People can absorb hardship. India has always done that. But what people struggle to absorb is the feeling that the burden is always one sided.
Every crisis somehow finds its final invoice reaching the middle class and lower middle class. Fuel prices rise… taxes rise… compliance rises… penalties rise… investment taxes rise… while government messaging continues to speak the language of sacrifice and nationalism as if emotional patriotism itself is now a parallel tax slab.
The irony is remarkable.
Crude in past was at $60 for so many months but retail fuel prices barely react. Inflation remains below RBI comfort levels for months and borrowing costs remain elevated. GST rates are reduced and yet the common consumer keeps wondering where exactly the benefit was supposed to appear.
Apparently inflation falls only statistically. Never financially.
Then comes the larger issue in my view which is "accountability".
India has seen announcement after announcement over the years. Grand schemes. Big targets. Massive projections. But increasingly people are asking a simple question… where is the measurable accountability after the headline disappears?
The government speaks of discipline but rarely demonstrates it internally. Appeals are made to citizens during crises… but many ministers and institutions themselves hardly appear to follow the same seriousness expected from the public. Symbolism works only till consistency disappears.
The taxation side has further deepened frustration. Every few months there seems to be a new interpretation… a new structure… a new uncertainty… another layer of compliance. Buyback tax. Higher capital gains. Double taxation. Retrospective tax despite giving assurance. Triple layers of taxation across different transactions.
At some point people stop feeling governed and start feeling financially mined. this is where the real risk lies politically.
Not anger. Fatigue. Anger shouts. Fatigue disconnects.
Once the middle class emotionally disconnects from public messaging… even the strongest political branding starts losing effectiveness. People may still support a leader electorally… but stop responding emotionally to calls for participation and sacrifice.
No government should ignore that shift because trust once diluted does not collapse dramatically. It fades slowly… one inconsistency at a time..

Shreyas Iyer said, “I just want to throw it out there in the universe. I want to lift the IPL trophy with Punjab Kings. It’s going to be a team’s effort, and everyone has to think in that direction”. (Star Sports).
Watching @ShreyasIyer15 perform that acrobatic fielding to assist in taking the “team catch “ made me appreciate how fielding has evolved since my retirement. For a long time, I felt like the “father of fielding”, but watching these modern athletes with their timing and awareness on the boundary line, makes me feel like the “grandfather of fielding”! I spent 99% of my career fielding in the inner circle, and when I started working as a fielding coach, there was no focus on the modern day “hotspots” on the boundaries. It was only when I started working with @mipaltan and saw Kieron Pollard, and then Glenn Maxwell, performing these incredible “airborne saves” on the boundaries that we started focusing on not only taking catches off balls that were already beyond the rope, but even saving the ball from going for a sixer, and forcing the batters to run only 1 or 2. With impact players transforming the way that batters can continuously attack the bowling, even with the loss of 4-5 wickets, bowlers need to be backed up by their fielders, and Shreyas’ spectacular“catch and release” was a perfect example of that. But let’s face it; when your head coach is @RickyPonting, one of the greatest fielders in the game, it should not come as a great surprise to see such incredible feats in the field!
Just saw the catch of the tournament from Shreyas Iyer to dismiss his opposite number, Hardik Pandya. If you are anywhere near a streaming device, see it now. Unbelievable athleticism and awareness to release the ball at just the right time.
Stunning!
SHREYAS IYER, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!! 🤯
🎥 One of the best catches you would see in the #TATAIPL history 🔥🔥

At the moment Shreyas Iyer looks unflappable.
His ability to forecast a chase, guide his partner, staying unruffled amidst pressure and shot selection against a bowler he fancies at the right moment are attributes that not many cricketers can boast of at this point of time.
We have a plethora of batters who can excite with their shot making ability but not many like Shreyas.👌👌
Top Class.
