Our President Prof Subodh Dave has responded to Channel 4's documentary ‘The Great ADHD Myth?'.
He said: "The way we speak about neurodevelopmental conditions really matters. It can fuel harmful stigma experienced by people living with the condition and risk discouraging people from seeking the support and treatment they need."
There needs to be better understanding of the rise in ADHD diagnoses and more focus on ensuring people can access high-quality care & support.

Another fantastic @StressWales Traumatic Stress Wales conference with amazing speakers #TSW23. Hearing today from @andrea_danese about important research around trauma going on specifically in #Neurodiverse populations. Inspiring session with @sianwilliams100 yesterday!
@thegradmedic Medicine is not a race.Despite what many say absolutely take your time,as I have: been a specialty doctor between CT and ST as not prepared to move, gone LTFT and nearly completed my second CCT).Life experience supports growth as a Dr;NHS career is a marathon not a sprint.

Thanks

New paper! Antipsychotics are widely prescribed in people with personality disorders. Using Danish population registers, we examined links between these medications and self-harm, suicide, and being charged with violent crimes? Short 🧵 @EBmentalhealth #OA

@BellaRoscetti You soon settle into your rhythm! Took me until I had down my first block of nights and long days and then I found my stride.Go for at least one walk outside each day, even if it’s just for two minutes before returning to ward 👍🏻
@emilycpb I applaud you highlighting the pervasive & chronic issues that resonate with most,if not all of https://t.co/fEobWCHE6M feels like you have made up your mind;my own experience has been that these examples of abuse/gaslighting does not happen in all Deaneries/other UK Nations.
A big thank you to TSW hub members Emma, Krysta, Martin and Penny for organising and coordinating the fantastic inaugural TSW conference in Cardiff, Wales @StressWales#TSW2022
@DrNeenaJha Wonder if it reflects insecurities; projection to denigrate another’s choice, bolster their fragile sense of self, deflect their misery,to ease a regretful decision(s) they made in their own journey a long time ago… May reflect a wider general social attitude in respecting others
