This is the correct take but here’s the reason why it didn’t work and why Vegas made the most sense for the Raiders: Mark didn’t want to share, Kroenke didn’t want the Raiders to steal the Thunder and Los Angeles wasn’t going to do two stadiums. Al Davis loved Vegas so it was Mark paying homage to his father making the move and Vegas gave Mark a sweetheart deal to do so.

PS: F**k Libby Schaaf, John Fisher, Lew Wolff, Jean Quan, and the rest of the people involved in blocking the Raiders dreams of building a stadium in Oakland as a MF crew.
