@MajorLeaguePB Media Pick'em Contest Week 3. Here we go! Here's the pick slate for this week. We have have more than a few matches where our pundits are nearly split 50/50 on the winner, though nearly everyone thinks this will be @stlshockmlp 's weekend to take the Super Sunday belt. I need to make up some ground big time, as I sit near the bottom. #mlppickem #pickleball
@OpenCourt No offense, but if you think Genie Bouchard is "the star" of Pickleball ... you have no idea what drives Pickleball today. She was signed as an Instagram follower gambit two years ago ... lots has happened in those two years.
@Zacaroni12@StockPixFTW@pickleball_jim@azetice QQ can you enable filtering by team on your Public data google sheet? I think the headers are meant to be filterable but they're locked somehow.
@MajorLeaguePB teams were active in the trade window and at the second waiver wire period of the 2026 season ahead of this weekend's St. Louis event. Here's a run through of the moves with analysis. #pickleball@ForbesSports

@MajorLeaguePB Media Pick'em Contest Week 2 update! Lots more "green" this week as nearly everyone got the same wins for 5-6 of the picks. From there, @ColumbusSliders fans fell short as @the5spickleball went on a rampage this weekend. Congrats to Johnny5.0, Laura Gainor and Thomas Shields for tying for 1st place this week. Season leader @azetice abstained twice but still leads by one over competition founder @matty_pickles (the ONLY person to pick the 5s to win the weekend). On to Week 3!
@MajorLeaguePB Media Pick'em Pool Columbus Day 1 update: just one game today, and 100% got it right. This event is really backloaded in terms of "close" matches, so expect more movement Sat night. The pundits have almost a complete agreement on the next three games before we start to see some dichotomy in opinion. Stay tuned. #pickleball
Here's the Week 2 Picks for the Media Pick'em contest, and a recap of Week 1.
Unlike Week 1 in last year's pick'em contest, when a number of the pundits went 7-for-8 or better, there was carnage in the picks. Two pundits only correctly picked 2 of the 11 possible matches, a terrible record. Meanwhile, the Dink's Eric Tice ended up being the sole player to pick the LA Mad Drops to win the weekend, and was one of only two pundits along with MattyPickles to even pick LA to get to the final.
The entire slate missed on the NJ-Columbus match, and thus NJ winning the group, and huge swaths of pundits missed on the Carolina-Bay Area match and the STL-LA super match Saturday night.
Week 2 gives us a bunch of apparently too easy to pick matches early on in the event: the 17 pundits are almost entirely aligned this coming weekend on the first four picks. MattyP, ever the contrarian, is the sole outlier thinking that California has any chance of beating Chicago. Once we get into the tougher games to call later in this coming weekend, we have a lot more variation. The group seems evenly split on the coming Columbus-New Jersey rematch, and on the bottom-dwelling matches between teams that are going to be fighting for last place all year.
Nearly everyone is aligned on StL winning the event ... but that was the case last week as well. Only MattyP and HeyShay picked another team to take the event title, which could launch them into 1st place if it comes to pass.
@MajorLeaguePB Media Pick'em Contest Week 2; all the picks are in. In a huge flex, leader @azetice is abstaining from picking matches involving @BlackBearsCA; if he beats the field again we're all fools. Play starts today 11am EDT.
@MajorLeaguePB Media Pick'em Contest update. Well, it was carnage the first weekend, with lots of "red" on the board. Not one of us got the Group A winner right, and only @azetice and @matty_pickles got the @lamaddrops as the Group B winners. Tice wins the weekend and can extend his lead today.
