Open water season has begun. A friend of mine Eli (owner of Agave) and I got out for a few hours and found some saugers.

The Clam Scepter rod has the backbone to haul in nice walleye. And when a walleye moves in just watch the tip of the rod bounce as the minnow swims hard.

Ice update: We we have lost all of the snow cover but haven't lost any ice yet, we are still sitting on a solid 13 inches of ice. And the fishing remains good.

@McDermedFox9 You went with my competitor? You should've went with me. I had a 12 year old catch 17 fish on Saturday. He out fished his dad and grandpa. But I bet you were more into the football game.

My clients have been taking some home for the pan. The houses are now sitting on 12" of ice.

My first clients of the season did a great job catching 80 crappies last night, biggest going 13". I have opening this weekend if anyone wants to get on a good bite.
