Woke up to frost on the solar panels and Briggs barking at the sunrise like it owed him rent. 🐺🔥

We’re 1,200 ft up in the Oregon Coast Range. 27 miles of logging road behind us, cell service thanks to @Starlink , and 100% pure freedom in front.

Today’s log:
☑️ Fired up the rocket stove with Doug fir kindling
☑️ Harvested the last of the kale before the elk got bold
☑️ Rainwater tanks at 96% – thank you, Pacific storms
☑️ Dog tax: paid in full
☑️ Day 1 of a two-week break from the day job, wandering the ridges before the snow locks us in

This land isn’t just off-grid it’s *on-purpose. No HOA. No meter. Just the sound of ravens, rifle practice at dusk, and the occasional cougar scream that keeps us humble.
