It appears that quite a few blues are satisfied cos we ran around a bit. Some of us have higher expectations. As per the vast majority of this season, that was tedious, boring, negative shite. Under other managers there would be murder. A cup QF and we never even tried to win it.

@ITalkEverton That’s my whole point. We just have to accept ? ..... that’s the whole problem. One of the many reasons for Liverpool’s downturn in form is that opposition teams have stopped accepting that the game is over before it’s kicked off.

@ITalkEverton I really didn’t though did I. I said IF we’d have let in 5 trying to win the game then that’s the chance you take. What I do know is that you can’t win a one leg cup game without scoring and we didn’t create a single meaningful chance.

@ITalkEverton Clueless how. We’ve just watched us lose anyway without having a meaningful chance. If we’d have let 5 in having a go, so be it. It’s a cup game, GD doesn’t matter. Everyone wants a trophy. No one is going to hand us one. We have to actually try and win it.

@1878Scotto @BargeTours I know that like. We can discuss all day and I get both sides. I think we’ve been too negative most of the season and yesterday we might as well have lost trying to win than trying not to lose in a single leg cup game.

@1878Scotto @BargeTours That’s always the case but we didn’t and didn’t look like scoring. If we’d have gone at them, caught them by surprise, gone 2-0 up then defended for our lives, that would have been too. I understand people have different approaches to games but I’d rather lose trying to win.

@AJCreevy You should back your own judgement. It’s yours to back. I back mine. That’s football. Ultimately we’re out of the cup, after our 9th home defeat of the season, without troubling their go. We’ve not done a podcast for about 6/7 years. I’m not looking for something to argue about.
