God's plan for you is definitely not multiple jobs that drain the life out of you. Juggling jobs make you feel like you're earning more, and on paper you are, but you're actually just trading career growth for a temporary bump.
The thing about being the one that Life assigns to a specific problem is that once you answer the call, you’ll be obsessive in a way that increases your odds of winning. And the imitating noisemakers eventually drop off because it was never their calling, just a distraction.
It’s amusing that while people build solid friendships at work, form partnerships with former colleagues, and referrals account for 65% of global hiring, some choose not to build meaningful relationships at work because your colleagues are not your friends lol 😂
Lol, it's easy to pick up unnecessary beef from text messages.
Cos you're over there assuming there's an attitude from the sender, meanwhile it's the complete opposite when you speak to them over the phone. 😂 🤭
This is it! You aren’t even everything to yourself, so why burden someone with being your everything?
People can only amplify what you have inside. If you’re not a happy person, no one can be your happy place.
The most powerful tool a person has is his or her mind. Many haven't deployed this gift of God to their advantage. Leaving it docile opens one to slavery and being driven by others.
Learn to sit still and think, digest the knowledge you have acquired and emerge with powerful practical steps.
It is what you continously meditate on that shapes your future. Your events will emerge from your deepest thoughts.
If you have the Holy Spirit and you are still sad, still heavy, still fighting something you cannot name, this is for you.
You are not a fake Christian. You are in good company. You have the Holy Spirit, so your infirmities can be comforted and helped.
Paul, filled with the Spirit, wrote: "I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart," and he said his conscience confirmed it in the Holy Spirit (Romans 9:1-2). Unceasing anguish. In the Spirit. In the same breath.
Jesus, who had the Spirit without measure, said in Gethsemane: "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even unto death" (Matthew 26:38). If sorrow disqualified you from the Spirit, it would have disqualified the Son of God.
Paul again: "sorrowful, yet always rejoicing" (2 Corinthians 6:10). Both at the same time. Joy in Scripture is not a mood. It is an anchor that holds while the weather does whatever it wants.
Elijah asked God to take his life (1 Kings 19:4). God did not rebuke him. He fed him and let him sleep. David wrote "Why are you cast down, O my soul?" and God put it in the Bible twice (Psalm 42, 43). Psalm 88 ends in darkness with no happy verse at the end, and the Spirit inspired it anyway.
Romans 8:23 says we who have the firstfruits of the Spirit groan. Verse 26 says the Spirit groans with us. He is not standing outside your sadness asking why you are not over it yet. He is in it with you, praying for you with groanings too deep for words.
Jesus called Him the Comforter (John 14:16). A Comforter is only sent to people who will need comforting. Your low seasons are not proof that He left. They are the very thing He was sent for.
So if you are sad tonight, do not add shame to the weight. Bring it to Him honestly, the way David did, the way Paul did, the way Jesus did in the garden. "Come to me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).
Heavy laden people. That is who the invitation is for. That is who it has always been for.
Your relationship with yourself cannot be built entirely around improvement. At some point, you have to become someone you are allowed to enjoy being. You get to be proud of who you are. Present tense.
For your sanity, be careful of what you consume on SM.
Many of These things are targeted at ruining your mind and conditioning you to other people’s perception.
They cancel.
You understand.
They forget.
You understand.
They disappear for days.
You understand again.
Being understanding is beautiful.
Until it becomes the reason your own feelings are always pushed aside.
Sometimes kindness becomes the place where your needs quietly disappear.
Sometimes “locking in” looks like sitting in the sun and remembering that your life is also meant to be lived, not just optimized, monetized, and turned into proof that you’re worthy.
