Arteta is a very tactically limited coach, and it’s time people stopped overhyping him. How do you have a fully fit, naturally attacking left-back like Calafiori and still choose to start Hincapié, whose main strength is just blocking the ball? Where is the logic in that?

Then the in-game decisions were just as frustrating. Trossard was clearly ineffective, yet Arteta left him on the pitch until the 82nd minute before bringing on Martinelli. If you’re chasing a goal, why wait that long to make an obvious change?

It gets even worse with the substitutions. You have Dowman, arguably the only player showing real attacking threat, but instead you bring on Madueke—who spends more time dancing on the ball than creating anything meaningful. And when it’s finally time to introduce Dowman, you ignore him again and go for Gabriel Jesus. Where exactly was the attacking intent?
There was absolutely no cutting edge, no urgency, no real plan to win the game. This loss is 100% on Arteta.

To me, Kepa wasn’t even the main problem. How do you allow your team to be dominated like that in a final?
