One of the most defining songs made by the Grand Maitre. Kimpa Kisangameni.
Ever noticed the trumpets in the opening act after the bass guitar?
How about the utterly disgustingly good rhyhm guitar on this?
Ever heard Franco's lead guitar on here?
Bwana, we were spoilt even in his mourning!
Great Franco Luambo Luanzo Makiadi month ahead Baninga!
Ikifika hapa nunua Gari.....
See how the guy restrained himself....
The lady was asked to open the window, she became adamant.....
She was like " wee mzee hauniambi cha kufanya kwa window.... ungetangulia ukae kwa window....."
So you mean to tell me that someone down your ancestry line survived being chaıned to other human bodięs for several months in the bottom of a disease-infested ship during the Middle Passage, lost their language, customs and traditions, picked up the English language as best they could while working free of charge from sun up to sun down as they watched babies sold from out of their arms and women rapęd by ruthless sIave owners.
Took names with no last names, no birth certificates, no heritage of any kind, braved the Underground Railroad, survived the Civil Wąr to enter into sharecropping... Learned to read and write out of sheer will and determination, faced the burning crosses of the KƘK, everted their eyes at the black bodies swinging from ropes hųng on trees...
Fought in World Wąrs as soldiers only to return to America as boys, marched in Birmingham, hosed in Selma, jailed in Wilmington, assassinated in Memphis, segregated in the South, ghettoed in the North, ignored in history books, stereotyped in Hollywood...
and in spite of it all, someone in your family line endured every era to make sure you would get here, but you receive one rejection, face one obstacle, lose one friend, get overlooked, and you want to quit?
How dare you entertain the very thought of quitting. People, you will never know survived from generation to generation so you could succeed. Don’t you dare let them down!
It is NOT in our DNA to quit!

I have been in business for more than half of my life — since I was 20 years old.
I started from a bedsitter in Ngara. Starting a business during the Moi days was not easy. Capital was hard to come by, and at that age even parents struggled to trust your business ideas. Our education system had mainly prepared us to go out and seek employment.
Unfortunately, I have always been that person who questions things. After about 1.5 years, I dropped out of college to pursue my business dreams. I even used part of my school fees as startup capital — I am not advising anyone to take that route; everyone has their own destiny.
I have approached business life with one simple philosophy: unless you are in manufacturing, most businesses have a shelf life of about 10 years — kumi kumi.
My own kumi kumi journey has been interesting:
2000–2010: Computers & IT industry
2010–2020: Floor covering business
2020–retirement, around 55–60: Manufacturing
I have always believed that every 10 years, new minds enter the scene — younger, sharper, more energetic and ready to disrupt the old ways. Technology also keeps changing, and within those 10 years anything can emerge and completely reshape an industry, just like AI is doing today.
That is why I have always tried not to become too comfortable with yesterday’s success.
Learn. Adapt. Reinvent.

This unit cost Sh 3,000,000 and remains one of our most sought-after models. Without the off-grid package, it comes to about Sh 2.6M.
Plinth: 89 sq m
3 bedrooms | 2 bathrooms
We classify it as premium finished as per our standard.
The extra value is in the off-grid setup: solar hot-water shower, 20,000-litre membrane water tank, precast digester and other systems designed to reduce monthly utility dependence and make the home more self-sufficient.
That means less pressure from power interruptions, better water storage security and lower dependence on conventional services — especially useful in areas where infrastructure is still catching up.
