My own is, If someone chooses to run a lash business, sell wigs or build a small business that doesn’t necessarily mean they lack ambition. Sometimes it is the most accessible route to earning an income, achieving some financial independence and creating something of their own. We live in a poor country where stable employment and economic mobility is limited so you can’t simply dismiss the work they do to survive because it doesn’t fit some idea of what ambition should look like. And even beyond that, why are certain forms of ambition considered more respectable than others?
