@ricyap @JeremyR1992 @AP This only applies to spouses of us citizens who were "inspected and admitted" into the US legally, even if they overstayed. People who entered illegally were not eligible to file an I-485 and adjust while remaining in the US.

@ozzythekiwi Yeah, unfortunately it's only 100% of hhs poverty guidelines for a K1 and then 125% for the green card - hardly enough for people to survive ANYWHERE in this country, let alone HCOL areas like LA lol.

@whytedymonds Michaels visa is an immigrant visa with much stricter requirements - he would enter the US and immediately be a legal permanent resident. Razvan just got a tourist visa, which allows him to visit for 6 months, and is much much easier to get (especially in low fraud countries).

@Sharmacky @anfisasredbag @90DayCray1 Once you apply for the k1 it's not instant approval, so it wouldn't give them another 90 days. He'd have to go back and wait 14-20 months to come back on a K1, lol.

@msTangee Getting a tourist visa as a young Nigerian man, much less one married to an American, would be near impossible. Huge denial rates due to a high risk of overstaying.

@_EMazing I feel this. I have a master's, an internship, volunteer experiences in my field, BUT no work experience. I have gotten 0 interviews in my desired field since I got my EAD in April. I got a job in immigration law which is...fine, but I'd be qualified for it w/o 5yrs of school.

@takeyourzoloft Even if you're using it on 80-90% dry hair (which you're supposed to), it still gets WAY too hot and can fry your hair off if it's fine/damaged. My husband treated me to the airwrap and my hair feels *so* much softer and is falling out less. I wish it wasn't that expensive🫠

@_EMazing Lol the tone deafness 🫠 Thee only reason we were able to purchase a house in NoVa is because my husband's parents helped us with the downpayment. But I guess we have it hard cause we still had to take out a loan and pay our mortgage?🙄

@_EMazing I'm sorry this happened, Emily. Men don't get how scary it can be to be approached, especially when there's noone around. I've tried to explain the balance of "nice enough to not get attacked, but not so nice that they get ideas" to my husband, but he struggles to get it.

@_EMazing My mom (nurse) says as long as a baby's breathing sounds okay and isn't laboured, and assuming he isn't sick and not improving for days on end - you're good to just watch him at home.
