@PCSoonersFan God bless him. I believe I understand why not, but it would be so beautiful if David Payne would say -just for fun and to honor Gary- “It’s Friday night in the big town.” There would be some misty eyes if that happened once in a while.
@uscfan981 Moved here in 1987 from a city a few hundred miles north. We immediately found the people more friendly, the traffic not as bad and the temperatures warmer! Housing is also much less expensive.
@lancecheek I was in a college dorm in 1972. Maggie May was near the top and it seemed like it played every third song. Good song- but too much is too much!!
@Jimfrombaseball In one of his bios the writer talks about an overweight and retired 50 yrs plus doing batting practice. The players wanted him to fail, but they were amazed when he found an ideal bat (another story in the story) and began bouncing line drives off the outfield wall and cursing!!
@BBGreatMoments Roger Maris! His year, I believe 1961 was magic! Long before cable TV, he was on the late news nearly every day. Kids - and adults - followed his every day. He was the story.
